Camping with Aunt Pam

We didn't get to play with our electronics very much on the trip to Devils Lake. It wasn't really a bad thing though because it got us outside more. We only had electric hookups. We didn't have water, we had to fill up our fresh water before we got there. It was hard. The bathhouses were clean.

Nicholas is uncle ricks grandson. Together we played ladderball, beanbag toss, made mud balls. He plays Minecraft. We promised to FaceTime each other.

We took a long hike straight up a mountain. We went 2.4 mi and it took me 3hours. We went up steep stone steps. At the top there was a great view. We took loads of pictures. I saw how glacier forms a lake.

After the hike we played Kubb. It's an old Scandinavian game but I don't really remember how to play. You just have to chuck these blocks at your opponents blocks without hitting the kingpin. I was on the winning team!

We found a couple geocaches too. One of them was really big. The other was an Earth cache.

We also hiked up the hill to the Nature Center. While we were there they were feeding the animals. The snakes ate mice, the turtles ate berries and worms, and the toads ate crickets. They had a lot of stuff that you could touch like furs and bones. There was some history downstairs. Some of the old pictures were with Indians. That was cool.

Camping with Aunt Pam was amazing. Even Kaitlyn was there! I hope we get to go again next year!
