Mall of America

LWe spent a week at a campground near a casino called Mystic Lake. The property was on a Dakotah Sioux reservation. It is located south of the twin cities: Minneapolis and St Paul.

The highlight of the week was going to the Mall of America. We actually were able to go twice. The first time we walked around and looked in stores but didn't buy anything. The second visit my grandma went with us.  This was when I got my ears pierced at the mall. I chose the amethyst earrings. It is my birthstone, that is why I chose it. It is also my favorite color. 

The mall has 40 million people visit every year. That is more than any of the malls in North America. The mall opened August 11, 1992. And expanded March 18, 2014. The mall is located in Minneapolis but it is the country's biggest mall. Get it? Mini-apolis!

I had been looking at a map of the mall before our trip. I located a Peeps store, American girl store, a rainforest café, Nickelodeon universe and Aaron heaven. Aaron heaven is a Lego store, a Microsoft store and a Apple Store all within 50 feet. 

Nickelodeon Universe is a theme park inside the mall. It has 3 roller coasters: 

   *The Pepsi orange streak. It seems to be slow and its track looks old and rickety. 

   *Rock bottom plunge. Super fast and for the dare devils. It plunges straight down in the beginning. 

   *Fairly odd coaster. It is odd. it doesn't turn the way any normal roller coaster would. Seats 4 to a car.

We bought passes for the theme park and spent a couple hours riding rides and enjoying the Halloween festivities. It was fun, I wish they had more rides but it was impressive inside a mall. 

The Peeps store is big. It has people walking around with buckets filled with samples of peeps. Aaron and I had two samples. One was chocolate with marshmallow fluff inside. And the other was just regular peeps.

The Lego store is huge. It has big models of Lego people made out of big Legos. It has a giant Lego robot that is about 15 feet tall. I have seen a lot of intimidating things in my life and that is one of them. 

I used my own money to buy an American Girl horse. It Kaya's horse named Sparks Flying. This store was really big. It was two stories with a bistro on the second floor. 

I just wish my besties Kail and Veronica could have come.
