Palmetto Shores review

This campground in Santee South Carolina is a resort. It's very nice.  We are staying here for two days. It has 2 pools, bathhouse, lazy river, mini golf, the lots are long and easy to get to, an arcade, easy in/out and easy access to the I 95, they have camp fire pits. It has no fenced in dog parks

The lots are easy to get to, long but narrow spaces, level but sandy. Easy in and out and easy access to I 95.

The pools are old but it looks like they are remodeling. There are actually two pools but one was closed for cleaning. The wifi sucks. In fact we didn't even have wifi the whole time we were there. The arcade is really not an arcade it only has 4 games and the pool table was out of order.

There were only a few full timers but one had a dog on a long lead that jumped and barked at everything.

There is so much to do in Santee. We found an Indian mound that was also used during the American Revolutionary War as a lookout post. It has since been preserved and protected. The history was very interesting!

Lake Marion boasts numerous fishing records. We saw quite a few boaters.

I rate this campground:
